Based on your official Patch Area measurement from the patch area calculator above, here's which size option to select:

  • 1.00-1.50" (XS) - For patch area sizes 1.50 inches or below
  • 1.51-2.00" (SMALL) - For patch area sizes 1.51 to 2.00 inches
  • 2.01-2.50" (MOST COMMON FOR HAT PATCHES) - For patch area sizes 2.01 to 2.50 inches
  • 2.51-3.00" (LARGE) - For patch area sizes 2.51 to 3.00 inches
  • 3.01-3.50" (XL) - For patch area sizes 3.01 to 3.50 inches
  • 3.51-4.00" (XXL) - For patch area sizes 3.51 to 4.00 inches

Dual Heated Hat Press Settings

To achieve optimal results, make sure the bottom platen is set to 320°F and the top platen is set to 280°F.

The pressure should be moderate.

Press for 35 seconds.

Top Heated Only Hat Press Settings

For users with a hat press that is only heated from the top, we have the perfect settings for you!

1. Set your hat press to 300°F.

2. Pre-Press your hat for 25-30 seconds.

3. Place your patch on the hat immediately after the pre-press & apply enough pressure for the patch to stay in place while the hat is hot then press again for 30 more seconds at the same temp!

Household Iron or Cricut hat press Compatible

Houshold Iron

When applying the patch, use a moderate to high heat setting and apply mild pressure while moving around the patch for 30 to 45 seconds.

Cricut Hat Press

300°F for 50 seconds while applying medium pressure.
