Hydbond Polyurethane Film Adhesive is proudly USA-made and built for virtually any application.

Hydbond is perfect for bonding leather, leatherette, embroidery, PVC, woven fabrics, and more.

Measuring 12" wide and sold by the yard, this 5mil (.005") heat-activated film features a glossy adhesive side with a matte white transfer backing for easy handling. With a melting point of 205°F–215°F, it remains non-tacky until heated.

Hydbond Adhessive is a Polyurethane Based Film Adhesive. Our Polyurethane Film Adhesive, in general is the highest performing adhesive on the market today.

The adhesive surface exhibits a refined and glossy appearance due to its polished and lustrous nature.

The paper transfer side has a slick, matte white surface.

LAYERS:

Hydbond Adhesive consists of two layers.

The paper transfer side & the adhesive side

The outer layer you see when you receive your roll is the white paper transfer. It is recommended to peel the edge of the two layers to distinguish the glue side from the paper transfer side. The glue side is semi-transparent, while the paper transfer side is non-transparent.

Household Iron & Clamshell Style Heat Press Settings

Houshold Iron

When applying Hydbond to Leather, Leatherette, PVC patch, Embroidred, etc, use a moderate to high heat setting and apply mild pressure while moving around the patch for 10 to 20 seconds.

Clamshell style heat press

230°F for 10 seconds at medium to high pressure.

Note:

Remember to place a heat-resistant sheet between your iron and your material to prevent any burning or scorching.

Cutting Options for Hydbond

Hydbond can be cut with a laser, Vinyl Cutting machine, or Razor blade.

Laser Cutting

Achieve precise cuts by employing high-speed, low-power laser settings. Ensure that the Hydbond is positioned with the glue side facing downwards and laid as flat as possible.

Washing Hats

Hand wash is always our first recommended method.

Wash with soap and water, avoid scrubbing on the patch to preserve engravings.

Machine wash

When bonded properly, Hydbond is secure enough for a machine wash!

Machine wash on cold

Air dry

Cleaning

If your adhesive becomes contaminated, gently wipe it with a damp microfiber cloth before applying to your garment or material.
